Hi everybody! I'm new here, joined about a week ago. I've been reading all of the topics on postage/packaging/mailing of requests and I have a question for all of my new UK friends. Would someone please help me in trying to figure out the proper postage to use when sending something from the UK to the USA?
All of my "requests" are generally the same...size, weight, and contents. The SASE is a large envelope (9x12 in size) with three (3) index cards and a thin piece of cardboard to help keep it from bending during transport. It weighs between 2-3 ounces...never any more than that.
Would anybody know what/how much postage I will need to use in order to get my "LOR" safely back to me. I can get IRC's from my post office but don't really like to use them. I would prefer using British stamps instead. Could you please suggest to me how many stamps I would need to cover the three (3) ounces and which "denomination of stamp" would be the best to buy.
I apologize for all the questions but I have tried, endlessly, to find the information out for myself. Everywhere I look just confuses me even more.
Thank you for your time. Take care...
