Well, there are authenticity companies, some people may have a long experience with autographs, some compare them to places that sell autogarphs, and more.

as i am just starting to collect i would like to know if it was real in case i spend money on a fake

There was professionals that have been collecting autographs for 30 years. They have studied so many, that they are very good at deciding the authenticity of a photo. Plus there are many autographs you can compare too, and you can look at the results and compare, plus see if the celebrity signs authentic.

How do you know if the signature they send back to you isn't done by someone else who works for them,copied,etc as you don't actually see them signing it

just wondering ;-)
