Admin requests the envelope as "proof of receipt" when entering you into the prize draw. I.e. they usually have a postmark with date on, and you didnt just fake this autograph yourself. It's not obviously foolproof, but it's just a simple thing that does help.

However, the draw hasn't been run for months so it's up to you if you want to bother or not.

Hi all. I'm a newbie here, so forgive me if this has been asked a million times.

I keep seeing in the forum people stressing that when receiving autographs in the mail, a person should keep the envelope too. If I sent an SASE, therefore, all of the writing on the envelope is my own, why would I save the envelope?
