I'm not exactly sure how to ask this question but, here goes:
I'm trying to secure autopen or preprint autographs from 2 deceased American Presidents. If an autopen was used, then in theory, it should not physically be a problem to have one printed up. However, if I write to either Reagan or Ford's presidential libraries and request one, might there be any reason why the staff would turn me away? Might they see it as an ethical problem and, therefore, refuse me? Has anybody had any success with this? Would it seem tacky for me to request an autopen signature for my collection?
