Yep, that's fine.

Make sure you tape all sides and make sure no edges or corners of the paper are exposed, so there is no chance that it could ripped off. If you want to make sure it really stays on, you can glue it also. I've put paper over wrong addresses before using paper cement and no tape, and no problems. But if you're going to use a glue stick, definitely use tape also.

I made a mistake by writing an address to a broadway show that has already closed, so I was wondering if I could tape a piece of paper with a new address on it? I haven't mailed the wrong envelope yet, so I want to know if it's ok.
