It's $0.88 domestically, a forty cents difference.

Yep, 3 Forever stamps will cover it.

Im sending it in a 9x12 envelope. It sounds like pretty much the same internation as national.....thanks for all your help! I sent you a message. So then would I put 3 forever stamps on the 9x12 when sending to hungary??? just trying to verify.

$0.98 if it's a small envelope (under 6-1/8 by 11-1/2), $1.24 if it's larger than that. I don't know what return postage would be as I'm unfamiliar with Hungarian mail.

Postage costs more to send internationally than it does domestically, you can check prices here: http://www.usps.com/prices/first-class- ... prices.htm
You'll also need to use Hungarian stamps or IRCs for the SASE.

Writing "AIRMAIL / PAR AVION" just instructs their postal service that it should be sent via Airmail. Otherwise, they might send it using surface mail (by boat) instead. It isn't that important, since most countries probably default to Airmail, and some countries don't even use surface mail, but it doesn't hurt to add it as a just-in-case.

Ok. So postage is the same and everything?? And why is it important to write airmail?? What does it mean??
