both are fine, but letters are better...

as far as content... ur a fan if ur writing to them (i hope), so just write why ur a fan.

Your question basically comes down to what do you prefer. I have been collecting for many years and generally believe that it is better to send a hand written (printed not cursive) letter. In my opinion a hand written letter is more personal and generally is more effective. I have made some requests by e-mail, but they are the exception to the rule.

As to what to write, most collectors use some variety of a three paragraph format. Generally you should cite some of the celebrity's work that you enjoy / or admire or whatever and be polite.

How do you people request ? Do you guys send an email ? or do you send a request letter ? And what do you say in these ? Cos im new to this site i joined today and im going to send a request to Ant and Dec but i dont know what to do ? should i send a email or letter ?
