I use a #10 envelope and a 9x12 folden into it.

I put one stamp on the #10 and 3 on the 9x12.

They seem to be coming back.

It all depends on the weight and where it is going. If in doubt, take your letter (in the envelope, all sealed and ready to go) to your post office, they will weigh it and tell you.

a) where are you?
b) where is your letter going?
c) how heavy is your letter?
d) how large is your letter?
e) is your letter hard-backed?
f) what stamps do you have?
