So who is it?

Thanks for all the help! Much appreciated! I ended up trying it anyway, since at my local Sam's club it's only 1.46 for an 8x10, and it ended up coming out fine! It didn't have a whole lot of detail to begin with, anyway, with a larger portion of it black. I printed another that I luckily found, with a much higher res. and sent both :) Hopefully I'll get a good response!

I have done photos smaller than that (around 1200x1000) for 8x10 and they have come out fine! :)

Here's a simple way to find out:

Open the file in Paint and check the attributes. It is under the file menu "Image" at the top of the page. Change the selection from pixels to inches. If the photo is 8x10 or larger you should be good to go. Usually the quality will be good. If the file is larger than 8x10 it will have to be cropped. You can do that using an online service (Walmart, for instance) or by going to a photo kiosk at a local drug store or department store. If it is smaller than 8x10 then it won't look right after being printed out.

Oddly enough, I once made an 8x10 out of a file that was around 500x500 pixels and it came out fine. I don't know why. Guess I just got lucky.

I'd don't think it would be extremely blurry but definately not the best quality. The more pixels in the image, the better. If that's the only size you can find print it as an 5X7.

That would not work for 8x10. You'd need a resolution of around 2000x3000 pixels. It would be very blurry if you tried it at the size you have now.

The quality would likely be poor. Perhaps you could post the photo here, and someone can find a larger version of it for you.

It is large enough, but to be sure make sure you put it onto an SD card and put it into a photo center at welgreens, CVS, or some other pharmacy. When there, make sure you 'edit' the picture so none of the image is cut out or expanded to a bad resolution. Good luck. {up}

The only photo I actually like of a person, is about 1024x760. Is this big enough for an 8x10 print?
