Only times I ever have to put more than one large stamp on is when I use my hardback envelopes, I have to put a polythene packet around it so they can send it back to me in the hardback envelope. But I don't do that anymore, I just use a folded up A4 inside, you don't always need to include a lot, if any cardboard.

Get some electronic kitchen scales, pop it on there every time. One large stamp can be used up to 100g and 2.5cm thick.

Most of the time mine are under 100g, depending on the envelope and cardboard combination I use :)

Thanks, I send an A4 envelope with a folded A4 envelope inside, an 8X10 photo with a bit of cardboard for support and a letter and sometimes a gift.

As Belfast is in Northern Ireland it is still part of the UK so yes, you can send it as normal. Your 2 first class stamps seems a bit much though, how much do your letters weigh?

I'm sending a VV request from Midlands in England to Belfast in Ireland, I was just wondering, can I just put normal stamps on it? or do I have to take it to the post office and get it weighed?

I normally just put 2 large 1st class stamps, but I was unsure as this was going to Ireland.
