The problem is that once they are stuck to the adhesive they won't come off without ripping or tearing. I don't know if the glue is unsafe, but I wouldn't take that chance. Acid-free pages, sleeves, or toploaders are the best bet, depending on how you want to store them. If you want to put them in a three ring binder, use the pocket pages. My Walmart doesn't carry 4x6 pocket pages, so I have to get them from Staples. They cost a little more, but are still pretty cheap. 5x7s and larger I usually keep in toploaders. You can usually find them (as well as the pocket pages in various sizes) in sports or comic book hobby shops. If a collector's fest or convention is near your area, you might be able to get a better deal if you buy in bulk.

I wouldn't recommend what you are doing.

Try acid free plastic sleeves. I get a package of 25 from Walmart for under $5.

Scrapbook albums?

I just started collection autographs and Ive put all the ones Ive had and ones Ive got in a scrapbook. The page is adhesive so the back of the pic stays on the page. They have a plastic protecter but, I was just wondering is this a safe idea? Or am I ruining them? thanks in advance.
