That sounds like everything!

Remember, you may even want to wait "Please hold until Jason Mraz arrives" somewhere on the envelope, but I don't know how much that really helps!

Ok, I just wanted to try once to make sure I have it so if you could correct me on anything I have done wrong here I would appreciate it, thanks.

Jason Mraz is doing a concert at Paramount Theatre on January 14, 2006 so I should send it tommorrow if possible, and I should address the envelope like this:

Jason Mraz
c/o Paramount Theatre
713 Congress Avenue
Austin, Texas 78701
USA

If possible I should call before hand to see if they will be giving him his fanmail.

I think that's everything, but please let me know if I messed up on anything.

Thanks for being so helpful and everything!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I understand your question!

Typically, standard mail can take anywhere from about 2-5 days to get to its final destination. However, if a mail day is skipped because of a holiday or a no-post day (Sunday), it could take longer. So to answer your question, I would send the letter 3-5 days BEFORE 3-4 days before the concert. In other words, maybe around 8-9 days before the concert itself.

p.s. Make sure that you take into account special days where there is no post!

I don't like phones much, but I might call them anyway. Except for long distance phone charges *shuder*

If I could find an email address for the manager or someone at the venue would it make any sense to email them and ask if they would be giving the band the fanmail?
Glad I could help, starreyes!

To answer your question, I think emailing someone at the venue would also be a great idea.

starreyes wrote:I have read many topics on sending via venue, but I still have one question that I can't find an answer to.

Say I want to send to Oasis, and I have found where and when they are performing, and I have the address, how would I write it.

They are performing at Milwaukee Riverside Theater on the 23rd of March and the address is:
116 Wisconsin Ave.
Milwaukee, WI 53205

How should I write the envelope, and when should I send it so that it will get there at an apropriate time?

I'm sorry for all the questions, this will be my first time sending via-venue. Actualy I have alot of people I would like to send to via-venue, and the dates are coming up pretty fast, so any answers would be greatly appreciated. I think the first one I wanted to send to was January 7th, and I don't think I will be able to send to that one. Oh well, there are 28 shows after that so I'll try one of them instead.
Hey starreyes,

Here's how you'd address the envelope:

Oasis
c/o Milwaukee Riverside Theater
116 Wisconsin Ave.
Milwaukee, WI 53205

You have a couple options as to when to send it:

1) Sent it so it will get there 3 or 4 days before the concert. (You can also write "Please hold until the band arrives" somewhere on the envelope if you'd like.)
2) Call the venue and ask if you can send your letter much more in advance (weeks) and ask if they will hold it for you and give it to the band when they arrive.

I would call the venue anyway just to make sure they'll be giving fanmail to the band!

Hope this helped :D
