Hey guys :)

If I remember right, an 8 * 10 fit in a normal SASE without anything else weighs around 40 g, depending of course, on the paper *I use photopaper for pics. I never use these big sizes 8)

I use small pics which do not go over 20 g instead (but not only because of the prices, I like them better, too) {up}

Lol, I am not debating that, I am saying if you do not include cardboard, I don't think it is above 30 grams. Of course, it is probably better to be on the safe side and include cardboard for the extra cost.
Actually a 8x10 without cardboard would still be in the 30 to 50 gram range.

thank you for taking the time to answer,

OK, I see the $1.70 in the right corner at the page.. but when I calculated the rate I got $1.92 in total or something.

(I use 4x6 SASE and I am sure they do not weigh more than 30g.. it is the stamps value and rate that confused me..).

Actually from canada to europe is not $1.92 it is $1.70 for up to 30g These permanent stamps are .57 cents each so 3 will work because it adds up to $1.71 All this information can be found on canadaposts website so you could have just checked there to find out the rates and value of the stamps. But i have to tell you most pictures in envelopes are going to be more than 30g unless maybe its a 4x6 in a small envelope with no cardboard...Any bigger pictures and bigger envelopes will be between $2.44 for up to 50g or $4.00 for up to 100g and a 8x10 size photo in a envelope will be $4.00.

Ok.. here is yet another dumb postage question.. I bought "permanent" Canadian stamps, rated as "domestic rate". It is these

I calculated that small/normal letter from Canada to Europe up to 30g = 1.92 in postage.

And the usual question, how many stamps do I need then? I am not sure what their value is when used for sending abroad.

I assume 4 of them, but I´d like somebody to confirm (or not), please.. would I be fine with 3? Always unsure with non-denominated stamps.

- and yes, I know it would have been smarter to buy intl rate :lol: thanks
