Mail entering the US--Customs?

by Lauren81492 » Thu Jan 27, 2011 8:28 pm

I sent a request to the UK in December, and I included a piece of cardboard to prevent the envelope from bending. According to the woman at the post office where I mailed it, a rigid envelope counts as a parcel and needs to go through customs when leaving the US, so I had to fill out a form. My question: is there any reason this customs thing could be an issue on its way back in? Like, could it get confiscated for some reason?

I realize this is kind of a stupid thing to worry about, but I get kind of paranoid over these things and just want to make sure everything's okay. :)
