Use regular envelopes. You'll be wasting a lot of money if you use a flat rate box for just a photo.

If it's a normal 9 by 12" or so, I have been looking on the site, the biggest issue is I getting the right postage for the way back I guess. Do you guys use those flat rate boxes when doing international or just a manilla envelope?
Thanks,

Yes it helps some, but I don't know how you figure out the stamps, I mean I would assume you had to pay for more stamps when initially sending it to Europe? I mean I feel like you would have to pay a good deal just to get it there, and would have to pay for just the same amount to get it back.
It just depends on how big your envelope is.

You should check on www.usps.com
It gives you detailed postage rates on post finder :)

So if someone could give me an explicit step by step answer, from sending it from let's say Washington DC to Paris France.
Thanks,
I don't live in the US, but I live in New Zealand and I've often sent to Europe.

1) Write a Letter and include a photo in an envelope
2) Get either IRCs or French stamps and put it on an envelope which the person will reply using.
3) put the envelope with the stamp into the envelope which you are using to send.
4) Get stamps and stick them on your sending envelope.
5) put it in the mail and hope for a response!

This isn't very detailed but I hope it helps you :D

Hi,
I am on the east coast of the US, and want to send some 8x10 photos to people in Europe. I would like to know exactly how you go about doing this.
