IRC's are extremely expensive in Aus as well ($3.10) and if you're sending 3 of them in every letter it becomes pretty expensive to send one letter let alone several

yep, i think they also have the next size down (C5) for about half the price, that fits most standard photographs

You don't have to, but it strongly increases your chance of success.
