Hi guys {up}

I have posted this before on the forum somewhere, but I can't find it again!

Unfortunately, the Royal Mail (http://www.royalmail.com) who are the UK's postal service do not sell stamps overseas to non-British citizens unless they are posted overseas in the military etc.

There is one exception, where the Royal Mail will sell "individual" stamps to non UK citizens for the purpose of stamp collecting.

I have heard of several US citizens who have tried to order from the RM website, and although it does appear everything goes through OK, you will get an email within 24 hours telling you you are not able to order, and your credit card has been refunded.

I hope the Royal Mail will resolve this soon, but in the meantime they are not the friend of the overseas buyer :wink:

I just ordered some stamps from the canadian post office a few days ago, you just have to have a credit card

I am pretty sure if you go to the UK postal site http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm you can buy stamps and have them sent to you. I have done this with US stamps to avoid trafic on the way to the post office and it worked fine for me, but I have never done it with stamps from a different country. I kind of assume it would be simaler if not the same, but who knows. It would probably be easier to find a friend that could get some IRC's for you from their post office.

Hi Jeff :D

Welcome to the forum :)

If you know someone in the UK, or someone going to the UK on a trip, you could ask them to send/bring back UK stamps for you.

Or, if you know someone within the US which can get IRC's for you, perhaps you could ask them to get you a few (they cost $1.75 each) and you can pay them back.

You might also be able to ask you local post office to order some in for you.

Happy collecting!

Hey there!!

If you can't find IRC's you can send cash, but it's really risky and may get lost in the mail! If your positive you want to send cash you may! Some celebrities will be nice enough to send the money back!

You can also try trading stamps so you can have the stamps to send to people without using an IRC!!

Hope that helped
