Hi
You need to either get some American stamps to go on the return envelope, or some International Reply Coupons to put with the letter, or some American dollars.
The postage amount can be found at the USPS website,
http://ircalc.usps.gov/
It is a bit tricky for non-US users, you need to know the size and weight of the envelope that will be coming back to you. If you're sending your own photo you can weigh and measure it beforehand, if you're relying on him to supply the photo you need to make an educated guess and try to find out what size photos he uses.
