You don't need to take it to a post office - if you know the weight of the letter you can just put the right amount of stamps on it and put it in a post box.

If it's a large envelope which you're sending small packet, write "small packet" and "airmail" in the top left hand corner, fill out a customs form and put it bottom right.

If it's just an ordinary airmail letter, write "airmail" in the top l/h corner.

If you don't know the weight then obviously you can weigh it accurately at the post office, but as long as it's got enough stamps a post box is fine.

You'll need to take it to the post office and have them weight it for you and mail it out there. {up}

Hi again guys,
I'm a day away from sending my first request, i am sending to the USA. I have done everything, got stamps from the post office, wrote AIR MAIL on it, but my question is do i have to go to the post office to send it, or will a normal post box on a street do?
