No, original poster DON'T use IRC's. I don't know about USA post offices but almost ALL UK post offices don't have a ready supply of IRC's. You have to ask them to order some which is annoying, + what is worse is my local post office had never even heard of them so I had to explain it to them :/

Agree with Clash6361, you'll struggle to find IRCs, but the main objection I have is that they are only worth about a third of what you pay for them, total waste of money. See if you can get someone on here to trade stamps with you, or buy some on eBay. I believe that the USPS will send them if you order them by phone, but don't sell them online. You should try to get Forever stamps, which hold their value like our first and second class ones.

If you know anyone who's going to the States give them some money to pick some up for you, a friend who has got some for me on his last two visits tells me that they sell Forever stamps in local stores like you can pick up 1st and 2nd class stamps over here from supermarkets and newsagents, so they won't have to spend ages queueing for them.

Hi! I'm from the UK too, and what I do is buy U.S dollars from the post office. Then with each of my requests to the USA, I include 2 or 3 dollars inside the letter to cover the cost of return postage.

This is a really good way of doing it as you dont have hassle of trying to get stamps from other members.

The ONLY time when I would say get U.S stamps over using dollars is if you are sending Via Venue (to a concert or filming address) because they are less likely to have stamps.

If you post your email address in your feedback post then everyone will spam it. If you don't your post gets moved to the trash. So no one wins either way :/ I think Admin shouls change the rule.

Some people sell US Stamps on here and you could also get some IRCs at a local post office. About 2 IRC's will cover your postage back.
You would put the UK Stamps on the envelope you send out and put the IRCs in the envelope or US stamps on the other envelope.

Email is fine except usually the topic gets moved to trash I don't know why. Also don't post the email because it will most likely get spammed and if the person really wants the persons autograph then they can do the research to find the email. Harry Potter Cast is pretty hard to get and Doctor Who I have seen some TTM successes. Harry Potter people you would probably try VV. I got Daniels autograph VV from his play he is doing now. I don't how much longer the address is still valid but you can try that address now.
