If you're serious about getting the autograph try to find out his prison inmate number to put on the envelope. Some inmates get a lot of mail, and whoever handles it can get irked if it doesn't have the inmate number on it. If the guard says something to him over that it could lower your chances of getting a response.

Yes Chapman. Its actually a pretty good book and i recommend it highly. The good thing is that Chapman didnt benefit financially from the book. The author did extensive interviews with him in Attica. I always have felt that if John Lennon had a professional bodyguard with him the night he was killed Chapman would have never got near him. A pro would have spotted him right away! RIP John, we will NEVER forget you!!!!

I know that he reads all his mail because there was a book that came out several years ago called Let Me Take You Down. He cooperated with the author and told his story. It says in the book that he reads all his mail but doesnt reply.
