When ever it comes to sending fanmail to TV shows like American Idol, it's always best to send single requests to each person. Mainly because they probably won't have a group mailbox and each letter is sent to their individual mailbox.

If you send photos and SASE with each request this time, that will certainly increase your chances of getting a reply.

Hi fellow Fanmail members! I'm fairly new to this whole signatured photo requesting thing, so my question is, if I'm wanting more than one signature from different contestants but their address is the same, can I just send all the photos in one envelope and include one SASE?

Basically I'm requesting signatures from American Idol contestants right now and I know the fan mail address is just one address to the studio, so to save on envelopes and postage, can I just send them all in one envelope with my letter addressed to each of them? Will they send all my autographed photos back in that one SASE?

I've send letters to their American Idol studio address I got from here last year, I sent out about 7 I believe and only got back 2. Although I didn't do as much as I'm suppose to so I guess that's only fair. I basically just wrote out 7 different letters, had 7 envelopes addressed to the same place with the contestant's name after "American Idol" in the To: part, requesting for a signed photo from them. I didn't even send a SASE with it or anything. That probably explains why it took so long for me to get anything back... But I got a large signed photo from Casey Abrams directed to me and a signed post card from Lauren Alaina maybe two months after Casey's. Mind you, I got Casey's WAYYYY after the show ended. I believe I sent it mid March and got Casey's in the summer.
