I like to put a majority of them in binders in toploaders which are put into sleeves. Im a bit over protective.

I like to put up a few favorites in frames but I don't buy $1 frames. If I am going to hang any up I want them to be nice enough frames and with a mat. Mats are pretty cheap to get for a frame (if the frame doesn't come with one), makes the overall look very nice & keeps the photo from touching the glass.

To me, they are the same except that with one option they are being displayed.
Thanks! Would you happen to know if there's some kind of thin cover/acid free sleeve I could use if I did want to frame some?

Congrats on your successes! I keep mine in protective covers in a binder. It is fun to flip through them! Storing Autographs - frames vs binders

Hi all,

I just started getting replies back from the first batch of requests I sent out a few weeks ago. I planned to frame them and hang them in all of the empty space in my bedroom, but after reading this thread

http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 7&t=144278

it seems that everyone has conflicting beliefs about autographs. My room is dry and gets a tad warm in the summer, but never has direct sunlight. Would I be better off putting protective covers on the photos, then throwing them in dollar store frames? Or putting them in an acid free binder album and then putting copies in dollar store frames.

I'm trying not to dump my a whole lot of cash on this stuff, but I'd be willing to spend a little if it means they last another 60-70 years while I am still alive.
