I am sorry if I confused things by answering another member on the thread, but Bill73 told you where you could get IRC's so I assumed you had been helped already. Then I think another member further confused things by telling me (who lives in the UK) about our currency lol...

Right, I have read through your OP again.

IRC's are no longer sold in the UK for use abroad. But they can still be redeemed for UK postage, so if you buy some online from usps.com as Bill73 suggested, you will be fine to use them. The redemption rate per IRC is £0.87.

Alternatively the Autograph Exchange/Sale forum has several users who sell & trade UK stamps. They can help you work out what you need.

Royal Mail's Price Finder is loacted here. You need to weigh your return envelope with your pictures and input the weight in grams to get the price.

Then include in your SASE enough IRC's to cover the cost or affix enough UK stamps to the return envelope to cover postage.

Or you could buy small amounts of foreign currency, $1 bills or 5EURO notes to include in your request.

FYI, they don't use the euro in the UK, the pound is their currency. If you decide to include currency, make sure you use the pound if you're sending a request to the UK {up}
Uh-huh, I am in the UK :D My location is under my avatar ;) So I use stamps I can buy in the shop.

I was replying to the two members above me, both in the UK looking to do US & Europe SASE'S.

Also recommended where to get stamps for the OP who wants to do UK SASE in the US

Alright, guys. Very confused... (: help. I have a slow and small blonde brain. So, should I maybe try calling the UK Royal Mail and just asking them to explain their postage? I think that sounds good, if the UK doesn't just IRCs anymore...

It is risky, but it's an option.

I sent $10 for an autograph and it got there fine. I concelaed it well by putting it inside an envelope, then put that into a bigger envelope along with a letter and a photo, so it wasn't obvious.

Normally I buy US stamps through here for my requests, but the $10 was for a paid autograph :)

If I want to do european requests in the future, I plan on sending cash because the odd request is not worth the trouble of obtaining a few stamps for which ever country, now IRC's are no more in the UK.

Isnt that risky including money in the envelope?

(Yes, I know that Ashley might have a US management address but some people have been saying it doesn't work..so I'm just using the UK one). Anyway, I had some questions about the SASEs.

Obviously, I put my address on it, but what about the postage?
On the envelope that goes from the US (where I am) to the UK I put regular $1.05 US Air Mail Stamps...but what do I put on the SASE?

I've looked everywhere around the Wisconsin area for IRCs (International Reply Coupons) and I can't find any...so if anyone could share what they do for SASEs, that would be wonderful(:

Thanks<3

You can buy IRCs online at the United States Postal Service website. They are $2.20 per IRC. The USPS charges you $1.25 to mail them to your house.

I also couldn't find any at the 2 post offices near my house, and the lady working there told me I could buy them online.
