My absolute favourite has to be George Jones. He was the reason that I came to this site, my wife would go on and on about him, his songs, stories about him...so one night I thought I'd give his music a try and sure enough I really liked it. So I wrote him a rather long email telling him about how I 'found' his music and asked a few questions like what is favourite songs were and why, what he does with his time now etc...
To my surprise, the next morning I got an email from his wife asking for my physical address and 3 days later my wife got a personalized autograph photo from Mr. Jones and I got an email where he answered my questions and he told me how he and his wife enjoyed my email, that it made him laugh quite a bit. It was such a shock to get my very first autograph (even if it WAS made out to my wife).
