I type, I'm right handed and my right hand was injured. I set the font on my printer to look more hand written and usually use a blue color.

Wow, this was an informative thread. I never thought that handwriting your letter would have any influence on whether you got a reply back or not. I'm toast. My handwriting is absolute chicken scratch. Not kidding :oops:

I ALWAYS hand write my letters.

I always send handwritten letters when asking for autographs. Although I usually type it up before hand just to check the spelling and to make sure I have remembered to put in everything I want to say to the person.

I used to type but i only had 2 typed success's so i started hand writing.

Personally I think handwritten is much more personal and it requires more effort, which is appreciated.
And it shouldn't really look professional. Neat but not professional.
I am not doing this hobby to sell my collection imho.

I handwrite mine and then I photocopy them and put them in a folder incase I don't get anything back and want to try again so I can then rewrite the letter :)
