It really varies: some people do it all at the end, others sign during the tour and some don't respond at all. You have done everything right though: contacted the venue and found out that they would give it to the person you wanted so now it is up to the star. Good luck!

OK so I'm not new at this, but I did just recently send my first VV request. I sent it around Nov. 6th, and the show was only a few cities away from me on the 13th. I emailed the venue a bit before that and they said they'd pass it on for me. It's been about a month and I haven't heard back. I know it takes a little while but I just have a question... if an artist is on tour, they are going from city to city every day... when are they going to find time to mail a letter? My question is, do you think most people wait until the tour is completely wrapped (in this case the tour doesn't end until April/May) to respond to all letters, or do you think I may have more of a chance of getting a response over the holiday break?
