Hi there,
I always send a SASE, when you write to celebrities it's just polite to include this item to make it as easy as possible for the person to reply to you.
The less work they have to do the better, they don't have much time for things like signing autographs and for the one's who do make the time it should be as easy as possible for them to reply.
When I write out my SASE I then fold it in half and place it in the envelope TO the celebrity (along with either one or two photographs). You can easily fit in your SASE if you fold it once or twice over.
I hope that helped, and it will make a difference to your success rate, however I would say that before you write to anyone you should do a little research to see if they are good signers so that you're not wasting your own time and money.
Good luck!
