It may or may not work, no way to know for sure i'm afraid.
Some people from the US send US$ to the UK and get replies so it can work.
Whether your £5 will be accepted for return postage though I don't know.

If you're interested in using US stamps instead Bri0626 sells them through the Autograph Exchange/Sale section of the forum.

possibly a silly question, but do people send money from their own country?

i could not get money changed when i sent a letter to andrew lincoln in the US, so i put a £5 note in with the letter. will this still work?
