Perhaps someone else will come along that can help you further.
I don't actually know how much an 8x10 would be from the US because I always send 6x4s anyway.

I spend alot of time on this section of the forum answering (usually the same ones over and over again) questions, and alot of people don't bother to say thank you, so I do appreciate your thanks.

My method is to point people in the right direction, give them the tools and steps to get to the answer they need, rather than doing all the work for them {up} I've even started linking to previous threads as my answer if the question is asked and answered there rather than typing the same stuff over and over.

(this answer is not aimed at anyone in particular btw).

You need to convert the weight of the return items into ounces and then use the http://www.usps.com calculator.
(they hide the cheapest options on the results page so be sure to scroll down and click to see First Class International options)
100g sounds alot for a return envelope it's probably going to be pricey.
I don't actually know off hand how much a standard US stamp is worth since I always use the global $1.10 ones :)
Any idea what 8x10 photo would be?
Ideally what you need to do is write out your SASE and put the photo inside (assuming you are sending one), weigh it on kitchen scales (ounces should be an option if not just use lbs and convert online). Then go onto the usps.com price calculator.
In an ideal world I would own a kitchen scale :) I could go to the post office. But its easier if I would know what it could weight and I can just put on some extra postage, the post office is not around the corner where I live so I happily pay an extra dollar if it means I do not have to go there, but thanks anyway.

100g is actually 3.5 ounces. in the states i know that it is like 3.50 for shipping a baseball which weighs just a little more that what you are shipping. i just went to the usps website and it will cost for shipping back to the UK around 9.50 american dollars. hope this helps for reference. {up}
