Silver only smudges on non-professionally printed photos. Professionally printed photos use different ink, which silver doesn't smear on.
Ok I got them printed at Walmart, and the background is light so they will probably use a black marker to sign.

Silver only smudges on non-professionally printed photos. Professionally printed photos use different ink, which silver doesn't smear on.

Ok the ones I'm sending have a light gray background so I'm sure that they will use a black sharpie. Thanks for the help! :)

I accidentally printed off glossy photos instead of matte. I was just wondering if there is a certain marker or pen that would not cause the celebs signature to smudge? Has anyone ever sent the celeb a pen when requesting an autograph?
