Always send a letter to the star. Sometimes an agent or manager will read it but let the star know why you are a fan.

There are several ways to cover postage from another country:
-send cash
-buy the other countries stamps and put them on your SASE
-do not send any postage and hope the star will provide it.

How much postage you need depends on the size and weight of the envelope he or she sends back.

Use the usps site to figure out cost. I think a 8x10 in a 9x12 envelope should be between 1 and 3 ounces.

Good luck.

Hi all.

As I am new to the Autograph collecting world please forgive my ignorence to what may be basic questions on this forum.

I am wanting to send a 8"x10" black and white image to one of the actors on this site, but have no idea as to what I need to send with the image. Do I need to write to the Actor personally, or to someone whoe represents them? Is it considered acceptable to use there first name, or surname? Also as I live in the United Kingdom I find the whole postage thing quite confusing. It seems we are unable to purchase these return postage coupons here in the United Kingdom, but understand that these are not being issued anymore anyway?
what would I need to send with the photo postage wise? Do I have to purchase U.S stamps before I send the photo? How do I know how many stamps I need to send with the photo to cover the return postage? Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
