Hi there, I know there are plenty of threads regarding the "handwritten letters vs. typed letters" matter in this forum, but I was wondering why are you willing to change from handwritten letters to typed ones. In my experience, I have sent a typed letter only twice, the rest of them being all handwritten. I think that a handwritten letter may be more personal, but still think that a typed letter may be personal as well but it's just that the impression it gives that may make think one that is generic. Of course, typing a letter can make you save A LOT of time, plus you can modify whatever you want without rewriting everything so yeah, it has its advantages. Still, I choose handwritten letters over the typed ones.

I hope you keep getting replies! Good luck {up}

Handwritten Letters vs. Typed Letters???

I would really appreciate some feedback on whether you think a typed letter or handwritten letter is best when sending fan mail and autograph requests to celebrities and athletes? I know it isn't a huge deal either way. I just wanted some feedback. Personally I have handwritten most of my letters to the hundreds of athletes and celebrities I have written but I wanted to start sending typed letters now. I have read some places that typed letters are the proper way to send fan mail, the reason I always wrote my letters by hand was I felt it was more personal. It just seems to me that typed letters feel more generic and impersonal and that isn't how I want to come across when hoping to get an autograph from the celebrity. I personally have great handwriting, so legibility is not an issue with me. I would like to switch to typed letters but with the hope that I have the same success I had with the handwritten letters. Again, I know it isn't a huge deal either way, just looking for some feedback in this area. Thanks so much!
