It's best to try and put your faith in the letter reaching the destination rather than putting faith in the tracking system which can be faulty at the best of times, but when it does work it helps put your mind at ease that the item has arrived.
Exactly! In my case, items to other parts will take no less than 8 days. Even if it's South America, North America. I sent an item to Uruguay and it took almost 20 days! I sent several items on the same day, most of them with the tracking service. Many of them went to Europe and arrived a lot before, having tracked them normally of course. It has happened to me before, though, that I sent an item and its tracking system didn't work properly. I sent an item to Germany and its last update showed it arrived to the Frankfurt airport, and then didn't have any further notice. I sent a claim through the local Post Office of my country, they haven't answered yet, and the celeb I wrote to has already replied!

P.S.: This has happened to me with an item sent to the UK, hopefully it arrived well, but it'll take time to know, as it was sent to Roger Waters

Thanks for sharing your opinion! :) I thought the same, I don't think it could take that long for something to arrive between two towns in the same state! I hope I am not wrong

It is likely IMO that it's not been scanned.

Question about Registered Mail

by renef09 » Sun Aug 24, 2014 12:43 am

Hi all! I sent a request to the US and paid for the registered mail service. After tracking it several times, its last update shows it left Albany, NY on August 11th, and that it's on transit. It must get to Pawling, NY. Is it normal to take this long? Or they just may have not passed it through the scanner? This was sent on July 31st from Paraguay, arrived to the US on August 5th, and since then, from Florida, started its delivery process. Thanks!!!
