hi,
I once sent an email and within days recieved a reply stating that replies could actually take over nine months due to the amount of fan mail they recieve a day, and I'd have to send a letter and this:

For autograph requests sent from within Germany:
up to 4 autographs are 0,60 € stamp
up to 8 autographs are 0,90 € stamp
a whole set of autographs are 1,45 € stamp
For requests from other countries, please include an IRC
up to 4 autographs are 0,75 €
up to 8 autographs are 1,45 €
a whole set of autographs are 3,45 €

some one else suggested that instead of an IRC you include a little German money, this is a good idea if you think it's unlikely to get lost in the post.

good luck :)

I have a young friend who is obsessed with Thomas Muller of Bayern Munich. We live in the UK but he is terrified to write to the team asking for an autograph because of the fear he will be completely ignored.. so here I am! I'm looking to write to them in the hopes of obtaining an autograph from him. I've never tried anything like this before.

My question is... how do I go about it? I read somewhere on the forum that UK post offices no longer sell IRC's.. so if that were the case, how would I go about sending a request to Bayern Munich that is prepaid to come back to us? Just to clarify, we're in the UK and we'd be sending this request to Germany.

Am I right in saying that a letter containing a short request letter, plus another envelope with my address on it (plus whatever else is needed as postage payment) is pretty much what's suggested/required?

Thank you for your time.
That is correct, but I don't think you could use a pre-paid envelope as it would be send from Germany, so you would need German stamps or currency for the return postage.

There shouldn't be any problems... and due to the amount of requests they receive and according to the autographs availability, replies may take a long time! Good luck {up}

Hi Skerne!

I have tried several times sending requests to Bayern,never heard anything back from them.I guess I was just unlucky,but a lot of people say that they didnt get anything back anything either.

Of course you can always try and you might get lucky :) If you live in the UK you could either buy German stamps online(from ebay for example) or send a couple of euros(2-3) for postage.I have also seen successes when they didnt send any money or any IRCs or stamps for postage so you could try just sending a self-addressed envelope and a letter of request.

Good luck! {up}
