Well the package has been sent out with a tracking number and a return package with another tracking number.
( I just sent a photo to be singed instead )
I did the tracking just to know when its at the destination and then finally when its being sent home. Which may take months but now i know where it is at all times.

That is unless he or another person uses a different package.

Fanmail is sent by all ages so i'm not sure you can bank on a more mature audience meaning less mail. Music is also enjoyed by all ages :)

Tracking is up to you, personally I have never used it. If you get delivery confirmation that doesn't often mean it's guaranteed gotten to the celeb. So on that basis i've never bothered.

I have no idea about Dave Grohl I would recommend running searches on the forums and wider ones on google to see.

Do you or anyone else know someone who has his signature through mail?

I know its expected to take awhile but i don't think anyone is really sending fan mail to him. Besides him being busy with the tour and such i think it would just take 2 months or earlier..
Now my friend sent mail to Adam Sandler with no return package and just a letter and got a response two years later. With someone like him i think he is more known to younger audiences and older audiences so meaning more mail.
( Not meaning this forum in general.. everyone )
With anyone in the Foo Fighters i don't see that.. Probably mostly a older audience that are most likely not going to send in mail.

For number one you would need to research any feedback for the Foo Fighters to see if people get responses, and how often. Check if these are successes via venue or via their official address.

For number two I think including a return envelope with postage is the best way to increase your chance of success.

Apart from that, you will need alot of patience and maybe a little luck too.
