No one stamp generally applies to UK domestic mail (letters) only, Airmail costs more.

I would suggest using the calculator already linked to :)

It depends what weight you're sending and which method you're using really, you can check on the website.

Would one first class stamp be enough postage from UK back to US? Or would a second class stamp be enough, but slower? Thanks for your help!
