The only alternatives are getting hold of stamps or paper currency of the return country.

For some countries this is easy- as they will ship their stamps worldwide from them direct or official eBay stores.

For others it is harder.

All the major Post Offices have websites, price calculators, customer service email etc, there is all the info you need out there if you put in the work.
