You always want to say something about why you like them and want their autograph. Mine are three paragraphs but you can write more if you want, keeping it to one page.

Dear Mr./Ms _____:

I am a big fan of _____. Then say something about why you like the show, them, or whatever is appropriate.

Ask if they would please autograph the item(s) you sent. Personalized to you. "I have enclosed an SASE for your convenience."

Thank you for your time and best wishes, etc. then sign it.

Mine are printed off the computer so I keep my body paragraph but I [u]always[/u] personalize the first paragraph and [u]hand sign it[/u]. The last thing you want is for it to look like a form letter.

I would say ask yourself why would you ask a person its autograph, and put it on paper {up} What do you like to the point of asking an autograph? Put your motivations! Good luck.

Ok I am really new here.
How would you write a fanmail. Do you just write
"Hey!
I am writing to request your autograph. Thanks!
_______(name)"

Or do you write paragraph after paragraph describing your feelings and other stuff?
