How often I wouldn't know but it has worked for me. I have sent euros and dollars... And for dollars I usually send 2 or 3 for small envelopes. When it's about heavier envelopes with cardboard, I send 5 euros or 5 dollars. {up}

Yes, I have and it worked {up} The latest I got was Sting, having sent a request to his agency in the UK. I enclosed US dollars ;-)

I tried it with a couple I sent to Canada. One 8 months ago and one 5 months ago. No response yet.

Has anyone had any success sending us currency to GB in lieu of ircs? I have sent several out using this method, no replies yet but it has only been 2 1/2 months.
