www.usps.com has stamp information, current values and a price calculator.

With a bit of time and effort you should find your answers easily {up}

I think you need to recheck your weight. Two pounds is a lot and will be about $20 in postage($19.31 according to the website).

Normal fanmail requests I send are under 5 ounces. Five ounces is $5.83 in postage.

Good luck with your request!

Current Price of Letters from USA to Australia?

Hello All,

I have seen some excellent information on the 'Collecting Help' forum with regard to this, but as it is quite old now, I wonder if someone out there knows the current cost?

I would like to know how many US stamps, and of what value I would need to place on an envelope with the dimensions of 10 inches by 7 inches (25 centimetres by 18 centimetres) which would weight approximately 2 pounds at the very most. (Here in Australia, they are referred to as A5 Envelopes, but I think the USPS refers to them as Large Envelopes.)

I used to US 3 x 44 cent US stamps, but I would be really grateful if someone could tell me how many stamps I would need now, in 2015, to have letters sent from the US to Australia as I prefer to send an SASE to celebrities in England and America rather than use an IRC. I always sent them AIRMAIL for the cost of the 3 x 44 cent stamps.

Thank you, in advance, for your help. :D
