When I send an 6x9 envelope international, I can send two 4x6 photos, my letter and 6x9 for 1.20 in USA postage on the letter to the star.

On the envelope from the star-the SASE-you need that countries postage. I have been told that for Canada that size envelope with 2 small photos is 1.20, so those are the stamps I've bought.

I'm not as sure about UK. I don't write UK a lot but I think it's around 1.89.

The Royal Mail (uk post office) website has a price calculator and guidelines on addressing items {up}

You can use any stamps as long as the total value meets or exceeds the price of your item.

Current values of the stamps you decide on can be found on the RM website or through a basic google search.

Canada Post website also has a price calculator and they sell international rate stamps.

mailing overseas question.

I have been wanting to send some things to be signed with an SASE to Canada and the UK. I have read several links located on this site addressing this question, but I am still a bit confused. I know that I can send letters to those countries with US postage since I live in the US. I also know that I have to use postage from the country that I am shipping to from those respective countries. I generally ship envelopes in a 6x9 envelope. I use three US Forever stamps on the letter and on the SASE. I know that I am probably using too much postage but I don't mind. But I am confused on how many stamps to put on the envelope to be returned to me from Canada and the UK. I am also confused on what british stamps to order. First class, second class? And I also see different price for large envelopes. I am also not sure on how to address the envelopes back to me. Can i fill it out just like I would a normal letter in the US? Can anyone help me out with these questions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
