If you are after someone's autograph, does it matter if it's made out to someone else? Especially if they're deceased ... they won't be able sign anything else

It doesn't bother me if it's something I really want to keep, if it's dedicated to me then I'm likely to keep it more so, if it's dedicated to somebody else but the author/star is now deceased then it's likely you won't find anything by that person too easily so it wouldn't bother me.
Thanks. That's kind of what I figured. It's definitely something I've been putting a lot of thought into, but the more I think about, it's still their signature. I appreciate the feedback. {up}
Absolutely, I know that if I found a book by Christopher Lee for example, I would certainly want to buy it even if it was signed to somebody else.

In the end, it's still handled by that person and they were good enough to sign it.

What are peoples thoughts on acquiring a signed book that was inscribed to someone else? I'm not a fan of them personally and I couldn't bring myself to get rid of something that was signed by an author specifically for me, but what about collecting them?
