2 stamps on your sent back if there's a clasp in the back... go to the usps.com for rates on certain envelopes...

i'm cheap.. i weigh the letter at the post office with the letter and envelope inside... and it usu. passes with 1 stamp weighing around .9 ounces to 1 ounces!! =)

For my SASE (9X12) I use one 0.63 stamp (or two 0.39 stamps).

I put my letter and SASE in a 5X7 envelope and put only one 0.39 stamp on it. THIS IS SENDING WITH NO PHOTO.

If I send a photo I put 0.63 on both the SASE and the on I put the letter and SASE in.

Hope this helps! {up}

I always send [like officer jim] a 9x11 envelope, a letter, 1 photo, and a 9x11 SASE folded inside, I put two .39 stamps on the 9x11 envelope and two on the SASE, it always works that way for me.

3 pics, 1 9x12, 1 letter all stuffed inside a 10x13 cost $1.17 at the post office scale. I think that was 3 ounces.. I just took it in and weighed it before i bought my stamps..

it depends on what you put in the envelopes but 2 should be suffiecent. though it can't hurt to put more postage on than not enough

I have found that a .63 cent stamp will cover both of them. I always send out a request letter, a photo and return envelope (9x11) and postage it with .63 cents. Then I also postage the return (9x11) SASE with a .63 cent stamp which is good for the envelope, the phtot they return and sometimes a piece of insert to keep the photo from bending and I have NEVER had one come back with more postage due in the year and a half I've been doing this. But that is just for sending 1 photo. If I send 2 photos, which I have done on occasion, I will postage it for .84 cents and that has always worked as well. Good luck though either way!

how many pictures do you send though?

1 pic i use this 10x13 = 2 , 9x12 = 1
2pic 10x13 = 3, 9x12 = 2
3pic 10x13=4 , 9x12 = 3

4pic - asking for your stuff to be returned... :)
