I have never sent anyone a birthday card or anything, so when should you send it to make sure they dont read it like a month after their birthday?
Dear Nicole,
that really depends on the celebrity you are writing to. I would not recommand to send birthday cards to any A-list stars (such as Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, Madonna, etc.) since those stars won't get and read such birthday greetings.
It also depends on where (country) you want to send your birthday card to. For example my birthday is on September 18th and I'm living in Germany. So if you were planning on sending me a birthday card you should sent it off 1-2 weeks prior to my birthday.
I've experienced that a lot of vintage stars appreciate a lot to receive birthday greetings and most will even reply with a short note.
Since I know that you are a huge fan of matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane... well, Nathan Lane is really nice in person so I could imagine if you send a birthday card to his current play it might even get to him and he surely will be delighted. As for Matthew Broderick forget about him, he's very sought-after.
Best of luck,
Stephan
