I also agree that this is needed. I think all of us should be able to post structured and polite letters as samples for new collectors but if this is not allowed, I think only one person should do it such as Ian (TheCollector) as he sends many requests for charity all the time and is very experianced in this field :) {up}

The idea is actually pretty good and I could provide you samples of fan letters in about 10 different languages.

However, this should only be a help for new collectors since every collector has it's very own "style" of writing fan letters and some would like to keep their "style" for their eyes only.

Maybe you should put a Sticky under the Collecting Tips section about how to write an Fan Letter, it would be helpful to new users!
