Okay so quit trying to get your small village Post Office to help. And USPS online form isn't working.

Go online to http://www.laposte.fr and see about a telephone number or online form/email address for a complaint direct to laposte Customer Services.

Tell them according to the tracking the letter never got to the destination, that you want help tracing it/ a refund etc etc. Something should move them into action in speaking to USPS & see what's happened.

Sometimes you have to wait a certain amount of time for refunds etc, but there is no reason why they can't look into a trace now and after the waiting time has passed, get a refund.

(I googled French Post Office and this was the only result- so i'm assuming laposte is the one who handled your letter and whom you paid. If not then the same advice applies to another company you may have used).

I tried again on website USPS , with "help" and contact, but it doesn't work because when they ask me where I live i can't to put "france" because they put only the states of united states......... I spend hours and I tried full of same time when I put " sender unknow " they ask me for my address and coordinates, I fill(perform) quite they say that the zip codes is bad (because in France we have not the same zipcode that at your country and what I have to fill the State. What's to be done?

I have already made and several times at once, unsuccessfully, all the steps which you suggest me making. My post office of my small village, (where I sent my letter) can make nothing concerning my letter (in more they cannot contact USPS Tracking because here they do not speak English.. SIC!) because the letter left well. I also filled several times all the things hard the site of USPS by explaining to them but they do not take into account my demand. They tell me to fill the State (thus in the USA) but France is not in the list of States!!! Because it is USPS TRACKING of the UNITED STATES and not France, I tried thousands of times that does not work. I am discouraged, completely... Lance Henriksen will never have my letter and I have no other address where to write him. I had also joined the photos of him so that he signs them .... I don't know what to do anymore because I tried everything!

The tracking could not be showing updates which means potentially some time between 1st Feb and now it's been delivered.

Also as I said the destination address could have their mail re-directed to that Post Office for them to collect.

With the USPS contact form- try clicking "where is my package" -you can tick a box which says "sender unknown", do this and select unknown on any other line where you feel it can be done. Include your tracking number and add in a brief statement in the "additional information box"

You sent with tracking so USPS should help as should the French Post Office. Complain formally to the latter if necessary. Yes the item is out of their hands once it leaves France BUT you paid them to deliver it with tracking so they should at least attempt to trace it on your behalf.

Keep trying to contact both Post Offices, don't give up or accept excuses from them!

Hello and thank you. I tried to join the USPS services already several times but as I am in France and that did not work, I filled everything, they asked me for the State but as I am in France my request was not taken into account. My French post office can make nothing, because my letter left well to the USA, and they have not power for that.... I would want to make you a screen shot but I cannot send of images here. It is marked this:

" your item arrived at the post office at 7:01 am on the february 1,2016 in west hollywood CA 90069" But my letter for Lance was for Agence Performing of Arts, to Beverly Hills........ (please tell me how to send you, here, a screen shot??)

Yes i'm disappoint and i spent money for this letter : 3 international reply coupons and a sending in international follow-up. I have no job. And i'm disappoint too because i adore this actor ............and by the past, i have already tried to write him (another adress) but i did not send reply coupons because at the time i did not know.


I contacted people on the page Facebook of Lance Henriksen and other fans but nobody answers. That then I to make? You think that my letter arrived February 1st and that Lance had it ?

It could be that the address you wrote to has their mail held at the Hollywood Post Office for them to collect.

It could be that the tracking on USPS has not updated and the letter has since been delivered.

When you say "blocked" what is the tracking actually saying?

I'd suggest sending an email to USPS which you can do here

You could also in addition file a complaint with your French Post Office and get them to look into it.

I realise you're upset and have spent good money on this letter; but nothing in the fanmail world is guaranteed and everything you spend or send you do so at your own risk.

Hi.... It's again me...
I have no news about my letter for Lance! I do not understand. I have make the French follow-up but I also had access to the American follow-up on the site usps tracking, and my letter is blocked in Hollywood since February 1st (while, she has to go to Beverly Hills). I doubt hardly that the address is always valid.... Thank you for helping me and giving myself a real and good address!! That this is not good! I have make all that it was necessary in the indications of the site. I am very disappointed. Give the real addresses, thank you very much...
