You can obtain Australian currency at your nearest post office/bureau de change. Then send it in with your request. It should be fine to send as long as the envelope is a dark color (brown) to avoid theft. For example, if you placed money in a white envelope, if held up to a light, it can be visible.
For the UK, you could either purchase stamps off the
Royal Mail's website
or you could send an SAE with your request and state you were unable to locate any British stamps due to your location. Many people do this in letters and still receive responses.
