Well, some fanclubs do give out free autographs to fans but some also require that you sign up to get an autograph.

The Neil Diamond fan club sends out free autographs of Neil Diamond.

I wouldn't bother joining fanclubs. I know a while ago it was on the news that a lot of people signed up for a fanclub of a band often paying £35 to join and the band split leaving a lot of people without anything they were ment to receive.

There are lots of celebrity fanclubs out there but the major problem with them is that lots of them make you pay to become a member & the prices aren't cheap. If you would join all the celebrity fanclubs in the world, you are looking at paying a large amount of money which, IMO, isn't worth it.

Unfortuntely, some celebrity fanclubs require that you sign up with them to receive an autograph. Signing with a celebrity fanclub doesn't mean that you get the chance to meet a celebrity.

The way to meet a celebrity is via venue which is concerts, movie premieres, conventions, charity fundraisers, et al.

It's not all fanclubs that will send you a "personal reply" from the celeb. or meet the celeb. I mean If you live out of the country how are you gonna meet the celeb? Even if you do get a personal reply it's not like the celeb will write you a letter all the time. Personnally I don't join fanclubs...I find it a waste of money. as for the reply from the celeb some of them do write a small note without you joining a fanclub.
