you should put 63 cents on the SASE, or if its small, 39 cents

hope this helps

I thing I do is I only put my address on the returning envelope. So if ever there's not enough postage on it the envelope still comes back to me. The only thing is that the postal service are gonna ask you to pay whatever postage is missing, but at least the envelope comes back to you.

yeah, thats true, I never send pictures. I did once (small pictures) to David Gallagher. I still put the same amount of postage on the envelope and received an autograph. Usually if you are a few cents off, the celeb will pay for the remaining postage. Sometimes they will even add another stamp, if they include a piece of cardboard or something. Wentworth Miller put another stamp on my SASE, along with a few other stars.

Thanks! I didn't know how that would work, since the weight with a picture will be different than the weight without a picture and so I wasn't sure how that would be handled.

hey,

I usually put 60 cents on the envelope going out & the SASE. Yes they will help you with this at the post office.

SASE--How do you know?

by xXHulkamaniaXx » Sat Jan 06, 2007 2:04 am

I've read through a lot of the tips on sending mail to actors, and everything says to enclose a SASE, but my question is...how do you know how much postage to put on it?

For example, if I'm writing to a show and not enclosing a picture, but I'm expecting a picture back...what would be the correct amount of postage? Do they help you with that at the post office or what?
